Shooting Suspect Arrested Following Police Chase to Baldwin Park
A man was arrested in Baldwin Park Wednesday after a shooting and car chase, police say.

BALDWIN PARK, CA — A man believed to have been a suspect in a shooting was arrested Wednesday following a police chase that started by vehicle in El Monte and ended on foot in Baldwin Park.
The chase began around 10 p.m.
The car chase, which reached high speeds, ended in Baldwin Park where the man abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The man, who forced entry into a Baldwin Park residence, surrendered around 10:40 p.m. and was taken into custody with the help of a police dog.
It was believed the man was armed and that he fired a shot during the chase, according to media reports.

There was no immediate word of a weapon being recovered.
