Woman, 75, Killed After 2 Vehicles Collide In SGV Supermarket Parking Lot
After the cars hit each other, the driver of one from Baldwin Park accelerated, striking the victim who was walking through the lot: police

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CA – A 75-year-old El Monte woman was fatally injured by a vehicle today in the parking lot of a San Gabriel store.
Officers were sent about 10:45 a.m. to San Gabriel Superstore at 1635 S. San Gabriel Blvd.
"A preliminary investigation of the accident scene revealed that prior to the collision, the driver of a silver Lexus was traveling westbound through an aisle in the east parking lot of the San Gabriel Superstore," according to a San Gabriel Police Department statement.

"At the same time, a black Acura began to back from a parking stall into the same aisle and the rear bumper of the Acura slightly struck the rear passenger side of the Lexus. After the collision, the driver of the Lexus accelerated forward and struck a female who was walking in the same aisle toward the grocery store."
Officers performed CPR on the victim until San Gabriel Fire Department personnel arrived and took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her name was not immediately released.

The Lexus driver, a 60-year-old Baldwin Park woman, was not injured.
No arrests have been made, but the crash remains under investigation, police said.
