Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-10 in West Covina
The CHP alerted nearby law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for any vehicle in the surrounding area with serious front end damage.

WEST COVINA (CNS) - Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a woman on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in West Covina on Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The discovery of the body in one of the eastbound freeway lanes at Sunset Avenue was reported about 3:30 a.m., said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball. The woman died at the scene
Authorities withheld her name, pending notification of her relatives. Kimball said authorities have no idea why the person was on the freeway.

The hit-and-run crash shut down the No. 2, 3, and 4 lanes for the death investigation, according to Kimball. The only lane opened was the No. 1 lane. A SigAlert was declared by the CHP at 3:59 a.m. All lanes were reopened about three hours later.
