1 Killed, 2 Injured in Moreno Valley Crash

MORENO VALLEY, CA – One person was killed and two suffered minor injuries today in a three-vehicle collision in Moreno Valley, authorities said.

It happened at 1:12 a.m. at Lasselle Street and Kentucky Derby Drive, said Tawny Castro of the Riverside County Fire Department.

"The first arriving engine company reported a three-vehicle traffic collision with one of the vehicles on its side," Castro said.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. The two patients with minor injuries were taken to hospitals.

A light pole was struck during the collision and Southern California Edison and Moreno Valley Public Works were dispatched to repair the damage, Castro said.
