2 City Commissions Open In City Of Banning: Planning Commission, Parks & Rec

BANNING, CA — The City of Banning is accepting applications to fill one immediate vacancy on the City of Banning Parks & Recreation Commission, according to a recent news release.

The term of office will begin immediately and run through January 31, 2029.

"This is a volunteer position on a Commission that meets on the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 6 P.M. You must be a registered voter in the City of Banning to qualify," they said.

"All applicants must successfully complete a background investigation with fingerprinting before appointment. The application for this position is available on the City’s website at banning.ca.us.

Another immediate vacancy is open with the City of Banning Planning Commission.

The term of office will begin immediately and run through January 31, 2029.

"This is a volunteer position on a Commission that meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 P.M.," they said. "You must be a registered voter in the City of Banning to qualify."

All applicants must successfully complete a background investigation with fingerprinting before appointment.

The deadline to submit either application to the City Clerk’s Office is Friday, February 28, 2026 at 5 P.M.
