VALLE VISTA, CA — A 2-week-old baby was unresponsive Sunday after a two-vehicle crash in Valle Vista, an unincorporated area near Hemet.

The crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of New Chicago Avenue and state Route 74, where responding officers found the crash in the middle of the intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A woman in one of the two involved vehicles had an unrestrained newborn in her arms, who was not waking up, according to the CHP.
