2017 Beaumont Cherry Festival 101: Entertainment, Parade Schedule And More
It's that time of year again... Cherry Festival time!
BEAUMONT, CA - The city of Beaumont's annual Cherry Festival got underway Thursday, marking the start of a four-day community celebration, complete with a parade, carnival rides, outdoor concerts and mountains of fresh cherries. The event was scheduled to continue from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday, at Stewart Park, with most of the fest's major attractions planned Saturday.
According to the Saturday schedule, attendees can enjoy a pancake breakfast between 6 and 10 a.m. at Beaumont City Hall, with time to spare to get back to the park for the Cherry Festival Parade down Beaumont Avenue, where Veterans of Foreign Wars members will lead a procession of fire trucks, equestrian riders, marching bands and classic automobiles through downtown.
The carnival will feature Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds and a host of vendors offering food and prizes.
A series of concerts are planned Saturday, beginning at noon with the Beverly Boulevard Band. At 3 p.m., the Boe Band will take to the main stage, followed by Vince Neil of Motley Crue and Pop Gun Rerun.

Cherries grown throughout the local area will be available for festival- goers to enjoy, organizers said.
