80-Year-Old Woman Killed By Dogs While On A Walk In The Inland Empire

BALDY MESA, CA – An 80-year-old woman died Friday after a dog attack in Baldy Mesa, deputies with Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station said in a statement.

Just after 11 a.m., the woman, identified as Soon Han, was found unresponsive on the roadway near Vinton Street and Mesa Road, according to the station.

Investigators said they believe Han was attacked by two dogs from a nearby house while out for a walk. She suffered ā€œmajor injuriesā€ and was pronounced dead at the scene, the station reported.

The dogs’ owner is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said, adding that San Bernardino County Animal Control arrived on the scene and took custody of both animals.
The dogs, both of Dogo Argentino breed, are being held until the investigation and a vicious dog hearing are complete.
