Amazon Moving Into Beaumont, 1,000+ Jobs Promised
The facility, which is currently under construction, will be 640,000-square-feet and four stories tall.

BEAUMONT, CA — Online mega-store Amazon is continuing to grow its footprint in the Inland Empire and on Friday announced a new fulfillment center is in the works. The latest center is set for Beaumont and will be the fourteenth such center in the I.E.
Amazon officials say the center will provide for more than 1,000 full-time jobs and will be located of near the intersection of the Interstate 10 and State Route 60 freeways. The facility, which is currently under construction, will be 640,000-square-feet and four stories tall.
"Each Amazon facility opens opportunities for jobs, many involving cutting-edge technology," Beaumont Mayor Nancy Carroll said in a news release. "This facility will provide direct employment opportunities in the San Gorgonio Pass region and additional indirect jobs and commerce for local small businesses servicing the needs of the new workforce and the facility."

The facility is expected to be complete by mid-2019, city officials told the Press Enterprise.
Other fulfillment centers are already located in Eastvale, Moreno Valley, Redlands, Rialto, Riverside and San Bernardino.
