BEAUMONT, CA — Last year's Oakley's Star-Spangled Color Run will return to Beaumont on July 3 in celebration of Independence Day, the city announced on Tuesday.
Organizers said the participants in the 1-mile race will be showered in red, white, and blue as they travel through the course at Beaumont Sports Park.
The City of Beaumont announced the return of the event on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
"Whether you walk, jog, or dance your way through, this event is designed for all ages and fitness levels. Come for the color, stay for the fun, and make unforgettable Independence Day memories," organizers said.
The race starts at 7 p.m. When it concludes, at 7:45 p.m. participants will gather at the DJ booth for "a massive color toss" to celebrate the event.
The first 250 registered participants in the race will receive finisher's medals, organizers said.
