BANNING, CA — The Banning Unified School District will hold its final Saturday Academy of the 2025–2026 school year this weekend. The academy is planned for May 16, where students can turn missed days into learning opportunities in a supportive environment, according to school district spokesperson Angel Mead.
Each session runs from 8 a.m. to noon and offers hands-on activities, including STEM, robotics, sports, AVID, and Dual Language Immersion.
"Students enjoy breakfast and lunch at no cost, and by attending a single session, they can recover one absence. Saturday Academy ensures that every day counts by turning attendance recovery into an opportunity for growth, discovery, and success," according to the district website.
