Fire Erupts At Apartment Complex Near UC Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA — A fire broke out Friday at an apartment complex in Riverside, with no injuries reported.

The blaze was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Friday in the 3900 block of Iowa Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The facility was scorched in smoke and flames near UC Riverside, and the extent of damage to the two-story building was not immediately known.

Cal Fire and the city's police and fire department's assisted in managing the fire.
