BEAUMONT, CA — The Beaumont Fire Department officially debuted its newest fire truck, which officials say will boost first responders' emergency-response capabilities in the city.
Officials introduced the new fire truck in a video posted to the city's Facebook page on Wednesday. They said the 105-foot tractor drawn aerial ladder truck is a state-of-the-art apparatus that will "enhance firefighters' ability to respond to structure fires, perform elevated rescues, and support large-scale emergencies."
The city said more than $2 million was invested in the truck, which took more than two years to design, build, and deliver.
"We're proud to add this critical piece of equipment to our fleet as we continue investing in public safety and protecting the Beaumont community for years to come," officials said on Facebook.
More information about the new fire truck, including video, can be found on the City of Beaumont's Facebook page.
