RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Drivers heading through Riverside County experienced traffic backups on State Route 60 between the I-15 and I-215 roadways on Wednesday morning due to collisions and roadwork.
Shortly after 9: 15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported an injury crash at SR-60 just east of the Mission Boulevard off-ramp.
There, a traffic incident occurred on the off-ramp, involving a semi-truck and a black Ford pickup truck. All parties managed to get off the roadway to the Flying J, according to CHP dispatch.
Debris from the crash remained in the roadway, including a truck axle, requiring cleanup. Ambulances were called ot the scene, as well as tow trucks.
No other information was immediately available.
Closer to I-215, the Rubidoux Offramp from SR-60 was closed in a scheduled closure until at least noon, the CHP reported.
Just after 8:30 a.m., CHP ran a traffic break for the start at Market Street, due to the Caltrans road closure. Drivers in this area should exercise caution and seek alternate routes.
