Average Gas Price In Riverside County Drops For Third Time In 4 Days

The national average price recorded its largest decrease since June 27, dropping 1.7 cents to $4.063.

RIVERSIDE, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Thursday for the third time in four days following a 19-day streak of increases totaling 37.6 cents, decreasing 1.1 cents to $5.579.

The average price has dropped 3.1 cents over the past four days, including 1.5 cents Wednesday, its largest decrease since July 1, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago but 36.9 cents more than one month ago and $1.264 higher than one year ago. It has increased $1.029 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.

The national average price recorded its largest decrease since June 27, dropping 1.7 cents to $4.063. It has fallen six consecutive days, decreasing 4.3 cents, including nine-tenths of a cent Wednesday.

The national average price is 3.5 cents less than one week ago, but 26.7 cents more than one month ago and 89.3 cents higher than one year ago. It has increased $1.081 since the attack on Iran.
