First-arriving units knocked down the blaze, confining the damage primarily to the shop area. Crews spent more than three hours on scene extinguishing hot spots and salvaging the homeowners' personal belongings, according to city of Redlands spokesperson Carl Baker.

No injuries were reported. All occupants evacuated the residence safely prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, Baker said.

Damage to the property is estimated at $125,000, according to Baker.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Redlands Fire Department.
