Beaumont To Hold Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Sept. 2 For Sports Park After Upgrades

The city will be giving away free lemonade to the first 50 visitors who attend the event.

BEAUMONT, CA — City officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday to celebrate the completion of upgrades to the Beaumont Sports Park, the city announced on Friday.

The renovations to the 20-acre sports park include new artificial turf fields, additional LED field lighting for recreational sports in the evening, and upgrades to make the walking path more safe, the city said.

The Beaumont Sports Park hosts community sporting events and has a partnership with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).

Last year, the city said it advanced its improvement plans for the park "to keep up with population growth and further enhance the quality of life" for the community.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and provide free lemonade to the first 50 visitors who arrive at the event.
