• Susie Dong (sequimgazette.com) — Banning residents are directly connected to this loss through Susie Dong's brother, John Bobo, who lives in Banning. Susie, an educator who shaped young readers across three states, passed away in April at 83, and a celebration of her life is planned September 6 in Port Angeles, Washington, with donations requested for a local food pantry.
