• Update: Panarama Fire in Riverside County at 5% containment (sacbee.com) — Fire crews are still working the Panarama Fire near unincorporated Banning, which has burned 23 acres and is only 5% contained as of Tuesday morning. While no cause has been released, residents around Banning should stay alert to official updates as firefighters continue building control lines around the blaze.
   

• Synchronized Traffic Signals Coming To All Of Western Riverside County As Part Of Pilot Program (patch.com subscription) — Banning drivers are slated to benefit from a new pilot program synchronizing traffic signals across Western Riverside County, recently approved by Gov. Gavin Newsom. Through 2032, Banning and other WRCOG cities will coordinate with Caltrans to smooth traffic flow, cut delays, and reduce emissions, with a full performance report due to lawmakers by 2028.
