BEAUMONT, CA — The city of Beaumont recently celebrated its newest Sports Park improvement with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the completion of a $4.5 million investment in the 20-acre facility located at the corner of Brookside and Beaumont avenues .

Constructed over roughly eight months, the park project introduced fenced artificial turf fields tailored for 19U and 12U youth sports. City officials noted the synthetic turf was selected to handle high-volume use, maintain year-round field quality, and reduce water consumption.

The renovation also upgraded field lighting across the new turf fields and four acres of the park's northern baseball diamonds to accommodate evening practices and games.

Additional park-wide infrastructure upgrades included:

"This project represents a significant investment in the future of our sports park and in the quality of life of our community," Mayor Jessica Voigt said in a statement. "These improvements provide athletes with better playing surfaces and facilities while also creating a more welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable experience all year long."

The project was constructed by ZECO Inc., with design and engineering services provided by KPFF and Brightview Landscape.
