JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A Metrolink collision where one person was struck and killed in Jurupa Valley was under investigation Tuesday.
One pedestrian was struck by the 416 train around 8:09 p.m. Monday near Tomal Lane and 56th Street, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
The pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's department said.
Van Buren Boulevard from 56th Street to Limonite Avenue has closed due to the investigation, authorities said. Metrolink tracks between the Ontario and Pedley stations were also closed.
