Naked Man Found Loitering At Elementary School During Class Sessions: DHS Police

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A 47-year-old man suspected of loitering on school grounds while naked in Desert Hot Springs was arrested Tuesday.

Jesus Alcala of Desert Hot Springs was booked on suspicion of loitering on school grounds, disturbing a school and for a warrant related to narcotics, according to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of an adult man loitering without clothing at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday at Two Bunch Palms Elementary School, located at 14250 West Drive.

Officers at the scene say they found the man using a drone near a dumpster in front of the facility. Alcala was arrested without incident.

The department said he did not attempt to enter the school and did not have any contact with students. He does not have a criminal history and there was no indication that he had intentions directed toward the school, police said.

Substance abuse may have been a factor in the case, police said.
