Nursing Facility Employee Filmed People In Company Restroom Without Their Consent: Riverside PD

RIVERSIDE, CA — A nursing facility employee was arrested this month after a hidden cellular phone was found inside an employee restroom at the Riverside center where he worked, recording at least seven victims without their consent, police announced over the weekend.

Williams Coronado-Morales, 38, of Riverside, was taken into custody Sept. 8 following an investigation by the Riverside Police Department's Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. He was booked into custody on seven counts of invasion of privacy. Court records show formal charges against Coronado-Morales are pending.

The investigation began July 9 when an employee at Riverwalk Post-Acute, located at 4000 Harrison St. in Riverside, discovered a concealed cell phone inside a single-occupancy employee restroom.

Detectives executed search warrants to gather and review digital evidence, including the recovered recordings, facility surveillance footage, and employment records, identifying Coronado-Morales, now a former employee at the facility, as the suspect.

Investigators identified seven victims who were recorded without their consent. Detectives continue to analyze evidence to determine if additional victims exist.

Riverside Post-Acute is a short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.
