RivCo Man's Shooting Death In Good Hope Investigated As Homicide

GOOD HOPE, CA — A Riverside County man was found shot to death Monday afternoon in the community of Good Hope, officials reported Wednesday.

The victim was identified as 42-year-old Riverside resident Lonn Lucas, the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau shared following notification of next of kin.

Lucas's body was discovered just after 5:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Read Street and Olive Avenue, according to Sgt. Mike Kelleher.

Perris Sheriff's Station arriving investigators were first on the scene, and after noting unusual circumstances, notified investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit," Kelleher said. "That unit, which also responded, has assumed the investigation."

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been shared as of this report.
