Angels' Albert Pujols Visits Injured RivCo CHP Officer

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Baseball season hasn't wrapped up yet, but Angels star Albert Pujols still took time out of his busy schedule to visit a California Highway Patrol officer in Riverside County who's recuperating in the hospital after being injured on the job.

Additional information about the officer's name or how he was injured wasn't immediately available. The Facebook post by CHP Riverside included four photos of the officer meeting Pujols, the veteran first baseman and designated hitter who's played for the Los Angeles Angels since 2012.

Pujols wished the officer a speedy recovery, CHP said.
