Area Gas Price Rises After Dropping Three Consecutive Days

Price per gallon is about 5 cents higher than a month ago.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose a half-cent today to $2.842 after dropping for three consecutive days.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 4.5 cents higher than one month ago but 72.2 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price dropped three-tenths of a cent on Thursday, two-tenths of a cent on Friday and four-tenths of a cent on Saturday following a 13-day streak of increases totaling 4.8 cents.
