Average Gasoline Price Near Banning, Beaumont Drops For 10th Day

It's time to fill up for the weekend!

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Friday for the 10th consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $2.756, after rising nine times in 11 days.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has decreased 7.6 cents over the past 10 days, including 1 cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.5 cents less than a week ago, 1.6 cents lower than a month ago and 4.4 cents below what it was one year ago. It rose 7.3 cents during the 11-day stretch of increases.

"The price drops are good news for more than 3 million Southern Californians who will drive 50 miles or more to Thanksgiving holiday destinations and probably pay the lowest prices since 2008, when Thanksgiving gas prices averaged about $2.20 a gallon," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
