Parents in Beaumont are preparing for the first day of school this week.
BEAUMONT, CA — Back-to-school planning is underway in Beaumont, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Beaumont Unified School District.
The first day of school for most students in the district is Thursday, Aug. 5.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Beaumont.

The district is following state and county guidance on mask wearing for students and district employees, which means that schools must enforce the state's mask requirements or offer alternative educational options. Like last year, these policies could change.

Beaumont Unified School District
Enrollment: Extended hours are available for enrollment. Through Tuesday, Aug. 3, walk-in enrollment is available during extended hours from 3-6 p.m. at the district's centralized enrollment office. No appointments are needed. The office will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, for last-minute enrollment processing.
First Day of School: Thursday, Aug. 5
Motorists are asked to be aware of students coming and going from BUSD campuses and to always obey school zone speed limits.
