Banning, Beaumont Make The Grade In CIF Soccer Pairings
Beaumont boys and girls host first-round games, while Banning boys are on the road.

Beaumont High School will play host to a pair of first-round games in the CIF Division 6 soccer playoffs this week.
Beaumont’s girls team, the No. 2 entry from the Mountain Pass League, play host to Hacienda Heights Wilson on Thursday at 3 PM. The winner of that game will face either South Pasadena or Pomona Catholic in a second-round matchup on Feb. 22.
The Beaumont boys, who were also the No. 2 team from the Mountain Pass League, play at home Friday against Desert Mirage. The winner advances to the second round on Feb. 23.
Banning’s boys team also earned a berth in the Division 6 playoffs as the No. 2 team from the Mountain Valley League. Banning will travel to Cambria to take on Coast Union, a freelance team, in Friday’s first round. Whoever wins will most likely play against Arrowhead Christian, the No. 2 seed in the division, in the second round.
Championship games for boys and girls will be held on March 4 and 5.
