Banning Celebrates Opening Of Cardenas Market
City, county, school and business leaders turned out this week to welcome the Inland Empire-headquartered grocery chain.
BANNING, CA — The new Cardenas Market has finally opened in Banning, and a celebration to mark the occasion was well attended Wednesday.
City, county, school and business officials were on hand for the store opening at 3317 W. Ramsey Street in the Stagecoach Plaza Shopping Center. Watch the attached video to see the hoopla, the store and its many Latino products.
The store location was formerly a Rio Ranch Market. In June, it was announced that Ontario-based Cardenas Markets was expanding its Southern California footprint with the acquisition of six Inland Empire-based Rio Ranch stores — Banning being one of them. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
