More than 900 people attended Banning's Disaster Expo in 2010, according to city officials.
The city web site warns: "When the next big earthquake strikes, it may take emergency responders as many as 5 days to get to you to provide help for you and your family. That is why it is extremely important that you are prepared to care for yourself for those 5 days."
