Banning 'Hoarder' Home Ignites Friday Morning

BANNING, CA — Firefighters battled a Banning house fire Friday morning that began in the home's kitchen, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Shortly after 6:45 a.m., firefighters were called to the 1700 block of N. Murray Street, where light smoke rose from the home.

A total of seven engines and 22 firefighters battled the blaze in a firefight that took approximately three hours to mop up, Cal Fire told Patch.

"Hoarding conditions were reported inside the building," they said.

No one was injured, and no one was inside the home during the incident. Banning's Building and Safety officers were both called to the home.
