Banning Man Accused In Barricade Sought By Police
Police say that at some point during a standoff situation, the man escaped.

BANNING, CA - Banning police on Tuesday released more information related to a standoff situation that prompted an hours-long operation in town over the weekend. What's more, they are asking for help in finding the man allegedly at the center of it all.
Police say Anthony Hernandez, 39, of Banning — who is considered armed and dangerous —is wanted in connection to the Sunday night incident.
It all started with an apparent domestic violence case involving an unidentified woman around 3:30 p.m. Officers went to a residence in the 2500 block of West Nicolet Street shortly thereafter upon getting word from the woman and an additional witness that Hernandez was inside, police said.

The suspect "refused to come outside and talk to officers," who made "several attempts to have Hernandez step out of the residence," and later, called in the Riverside County sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau.
Eventually, law enforcement personnel entered the home and found that Hernandez was gone.
