Banning Mayor Hosting Town Hall Sept. 14 To Discuss Future Of The City
City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs will also be in attendance as a guest, the city said.
BANNING, CA — Banning Mayor Richard Royce will be hosting a town hall meeting to discuss the future of the city on Sept. 14, officials announced on Tuesday.
The meeting comes amid financial issues the city is facing and a public records request by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office for documents related to Banning Electric Utility. The records request was sent months after a Grand Jury report which said Banning Electric Utility customers were "double-billed monthly."

"This open forum invites residents to engage in an honest, constructive conversation about local topics, city services, and community priorities. Attendees are encouraged to share their perspectives, ask questions, and take part in a meaningful dialogue about the future of Banning," the city said.
City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs will also be in attendance at the meeting as the mayor's guest.

The town hall will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Banning City Hall.
