Banning Police Seek Help In Man's Weekend Shooting Death

BANNING, CA -- Police investigating the weekend shooting death of a man in Banning sought the public's help Tuesday in tracking down whoever is responsible for the killing, which occurred around the same time that gunshots were also heard elsewhere in the city.
The unidentified victim was shot Sunday night in the 300 block of Barbour Street and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Banning Police Department.
A suspect description was not immediately available.

Gunfire was also reported around the same time in the 500 block of Navajo Drive, with multiple shots heard in the area. Police did not disclose whether they believe the shootings are related.
