Banning's Annual Stagecoach Days Celebration Begins Thursday

Stagecoach Days, which has been held annually since 1957, will open to the public at 5 p.m. Thursday at A.C. Dysart Park.

BANNING, CA — Banning's stagecoach heritage will be celebrated over four days, starting Thursday, with a bevy of activities for all ages, including rodeos, carnival rides and an annual parade.

Rodeos will be held each night, with categories including bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, breakaway, team roping and junior barrel racing.

Thursday highlights include the Whiskerino, Hatterino and Rodeo Queen Coronation, and a live performance by Carter Winter, who will also perform at Friday and Saturday's Rodeo Dances.

Saturday's festivities will include a 10 a.m. parade, which will depart from Ramsey Street and San Gorgonio Avenue and end at 12th and Ramsey streets. Awards across several different categories will be handed out to parade entries.

Sunday highlights include a Battle of the Bands, with local acts competing for a cash prize, as well as a motorcycle and quad race.

Daily tickets starting at $5 are available at the gate or at http://stagecoachdays.org/tick... . One child aged 4 or under gets in free per one paid adult admission.

VIP rodeo tickets starting at $50 are also available for each day, and come with dinner, two drink tickets and a guaranteed seat in preferred seating.
