Beaumont Dominates Second Half to Beat Valley View
The Cougars trailed the Moreno Valley team 17-12 at half time.

Beaumont went on the road to open its season with a 30-21 win over Moreno Valley's Valley View High School.
The Press Enterprise reports that the Cougars were down 17-12 going into halftime. Junior running back Joe Jeffers scored two touchdowns in the second half to help in the comeback.
The two teams seem to have made it a bit of a tradition of playing a tight opening game. Valley View took last years contest by one point. But while Valley View went on to a 7-4 record, Beaumont limped along to just two wins.
