Beaumont Halloween Home: Family Puts Together Spooky Lights Show for the Season

The 'Drake Avenue Holiday Light Show' runs nightly.

BEAUMONT, CA – If you're looking for a fun, free activity in Beaumont around Halloween-time, one local family has you covered. The Drake Avenue Lights show is now open for the season!

Located in Beaumont, south of Interstate 10, the lights display at 233 Drake Avenue is synced with music. A new show runs every 30 minutes, and you can listen to the five-song set on the street or from the comfort of your own car by tuning to FM 97.7.

Katerra Greenside-Trusty tells Patch that her family has been doing lights shows for the last several years.

"In 2012, we did our first Christmas light show, it was very small but we were proud, it takes a lot of time and effort and can get expensive quickly!" she says. "Instead of going all out in the beginning we to add a few little new things each year. We decided to try our first Halloween show in 2013 and it turned out great!"

And what started out as a hobby has turned into an event that their family eagerly awaits each season.

"The other night we heard a lady outside shriek with excitement when 'Monster Mash' came on," Greenside-Trusy says. "When we peeked out the window she was dancing with her grandchildren! It's moments like that are honestly indescribable for us, we're just thankful that the community enjoys it the way we do."

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00
  • Friday-Sunday: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30
