
BEAUMONT, CA — The Beaumont Cougars now have a new coach at the helm of their football program. Jeff Steinberg was officially approved for the position of Varsity Football Head Coach and Physical Education Teacher at Tuesday's school board meeting.
Here's a bit about Steinberg, courtesy of the school district:
Coach Steinberg comes to Beaumont USD from Rancho Verde High School in the Val Verde Unified School District. He has 26 years of high school coaching experience, which includes 20 years as a head varsity football coach and two California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championships.
Coach Steinberg earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.
Steinberg tweeted his excitement for the new role saying he was "beyond thrilled" to take on the new position.
