Beaumont Leaders Hold Ceremony For Fire Department's New 105-Foot Ladder Truck

BEAUMONT, CA — City leaders held a push-in ceremony to formally welcome it's new 105-foot tractor-drawn aerial ladder truck, which they say will help the growing city keep pace with its public safety needs.

Beaumont Fire Department's Station 106 will be home to the new ladder, which was celebrated during an event Aug. 4. The city officially debuted the ladder truck in June with videos posted to its Facebook page.

Officials said the state-of-the-art apparatus will enhance firefighters' abilities to respond to structure fires, perform elevated rescues, and support large-scale emergencies. The truck also has expanded storage for extra equipment and specialized rescue tools.

The city said more than $2 million was invested in the truck, which took more than two years to design, build, and deliver.

"As Beaumont grows, so does our commitment to keeping families, homes, and businesses safe," the city said. "This new ladder truck empowers our firefighters to protect every corner of our city, today and into the future."
