Studies show that exposure to early literacy opportunities, such as those provided through Beaumont Library’s regular in-library preschool programs and via the “Ready to Read” van, help ensure that children can enter kindergarten equipped with the skills they need to learn and be successful in school.
Parents and their young children are invited to attend the "R2R" van's public story times held at 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at the Chatigny Community Center, at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Noble Creek Community Center, and at 9 a.m. on Fridays at Petco. Visits are not normally scheduled on fifth Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays of the month, on holidays, or during school breaks.
