Beaumont Pass Transit Offering Free Fares in 2019

The promotion will offer free fare on all Beaumont and Banning Pass Transit routes, including fixed route and commuter links.

From The City of Beaumont: On Friday, March 1, 2019 City of Beaumont Pass Transit and City of Banning Pass Transit began a free fare promotion to encourage residents to explore the local transportation system.

The promotion will offer free fare on all Beaumont and Banning Pass Transit routes, including fixed route and commuter links, from March 1, 2019 through May 31, 2019. This free fare promotion is made possible through a grant from the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) funded through the State of California and administered by California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) in coordination with Air Resource Board (ARB) and State Controller’s Office (SCO) in an effort reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“Our intent of the program is to increase awareness of public transportation offered in and around the Pass area. We are excited to extend this promotion to the entire passenger base and encourage residents to #TryTransit,” stated Beaumont Pass Transit Management Analyst Celina Cabrera.
