Beaumont Police Ask For Help Finding Missing Man

The man's car, keys and wallet were found but there has been no sign of Michael John Enguidanos since Aug. 24, police say.

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont police on Thursday asked for the public's help in finding a 54-year-old man who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Michael John Enguidanos was last seen leaving his family's home in Beaumont on Aug. 24. What's more, police say his car, keys and wallet were all found in the Whitewater area with no sign of the man.

According to Beaumont police, the Covina man was visiting family in town when he set out to visit some friends "and failed to return home as promised."

"Family members became concerned when they were unable to reach Enguidanos by telephone," police said in a news release. The family eventually reported him missing to police on Saturday.

Beaumont police say they later learned that on Friday, the CHP had spotted Enguidanos' unoccupied Honda Civic parked along Whitewater Cutoff Road and tagged it for removal. Then, on Tuesday, sheriff's officials were in the same area for a separate investigation and also spotted the Civic.

"Family members were contacted and had the vehicle retrieved, where they later recovered Enguidanos’ keys and wallet inside," Beaumont police said.
