Beaumont Sex Scandal: Teacher Arrested For Alleged Relations With Student, Police Say
The woman, a resident of Banning, is facing charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and oral copulation with a person under 18.

BEAUMONT, CA — A Banning woman who teaches at Beaumont High School was behind bars Wednesday night, suspected of having a sexual relationship with at least one student. Jail records indicate 32-year-old Samantha Lee Ciotta was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility at 9:02 p.m.
Ciotta was arrested earlier Wednesday afternoon by the Beaumont Police Department, who says they were recently tipped off to a possible relationship between the woman and a student. Police say their investigation revealed that there was indeed an illegal relationship. What's more, they fear there were other possible victims.

Detectives from the Beaumont Police Department conducted an investigation into allegations of a sexual relationship between a student and a local high school teacher. During the investigation the victim recently disclosed to detectives there has been unlawful sexual intercourse occurring for the past few months by a teacher who works at the Beaumont High School. The investigation further revealed there were inappropriate communications between the teacher and student through various messaging platforms.
The teacher is identified as Samantha Lee Ciotta, 32 YOA, of Banning; CA. CIOTTA was previously placed on administrative leave by the Beaumont Unified School District while the Beaumont Police Department conducted an investigation. CIOTTA was arrested at approximately 2:52pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in the City of Banning. CIOTTA was later booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning for unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a minor.
The Beaumont Unified School District has fully cooperated with the Beaumont Police Department during this investigation.
