Beaumont Teachers Donate $2,500 To Friends Of Beaumont Library
Funds will support resources for children and the community as a whole

In honor of the "California Day of the Teacher" and "National School Nurses Day" in May, the Beaumont Teachers Association agreed to donate $2,500 to the Friends of Beaumont Library.
When making the announcement, BTA President Chase Moore, stated that the Association Council "voted to give back on this Day of the Teacher and BTA will be making a $2500 donation to the Friends of the Beaumont Library to support their programs that in turn support our kids and community as we continue to reopen California."
The contribution, he told the Association's members, was a way to "thank you educators for cultivating minds & healing hearts during the most extraordinary circumstances. Your commitment to reach and teach students while defending the health and safety of schools is nothing short of heroic."

It was also a way, he said, of "recognizing the love, care, talents and contributions school nurses make every day to improve the safety, health, and success of California students!"
Milton Cook, President of the Friends of Beaumont Library, gratefully accepted a $2,500 check from BTA Treasurer Chauna Keels on June 25. Joining them for the presentation were Beaumont Library Board President Margaret Coleman, Library Director Luren Dickinson, and Board Member Michelle Lillard-Geiser (who is herself a teacher with the Beaumont Unified School District and a BTA member).
