Beaumont's Veterans Day Celebration, Memorial Park Ribbon Cutting

On Monday, join honored veterans in Beaumont for a celebration, parade, and reveal of the city park.

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont is hosting its annual Veterans Day celebration Monday, and all are invited for both the parade and introduction to the recently refurbished Memorial Plaza, the city said in a recent news release.

On Monday, from 10 a.m., head to Beaumont Avenue and 10th Street for the parade and special ceremony in front of the Beaumont Civic Center.

"This day of recognition and gratitude will feature a parade, formal ceremony, and the highly anticipated ribbon cutting for the newly revitalized Memorial Plaza – a dedicated space honoring those who have served in our nation’s military and public safety," they said.

Starting at 10th Street, watch an expert parachutist descend with a large American flag, marking the start of the parade.

"The parade will include 36 entries, including the University of California, Riverside Pipe Band, local Veteran groups, Beaumont High School marching band, and local organizations paying tribute to our service members," they said.

During the ceremony, Beaumont Police Detective Lyndon Peats will lead the community in singing the National Anthem, then the ceremony will feature five local Veterans sharing their experiences and what Veterans Day means to them and their families.

All events will culminate at the newly designed Memorial Plaza.

"Memorial Plaza was designed as a tribute to honor our veterans, as well as public safety personnel, the Memorial Plaza will serve as a place of remembrance and honor for generations to come," they said. Immediately following the ceremony, the City of Beaumont will officially open the Memorial Plaza with a ribbon cutting event.
