Body Found In Reche Canyon Was Homicide Victim
The man's age and race are unknown, according to the sheriff's department.

RECHE CANYON, CA — A man's body found over the weekend in Reche Canyon is being investigated as a homicide, the sheriff's department announced Wednesday.
The body was found Saturday around 12 p.m. in the open hills east of the 7400 block of Reche Canyon Road.
On Sunday, the coroner's bureau removed the body from the area and on Tuesday an autopsy was completed. The results showed the man suffered trauma, which determined the case was a homicide, the sheriff's department reported.

The type of trauma was not disclosed.

The only identifying information released by the department was the victim's medium-length black hair.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Bermudez at the Moreno Valley Station Investigation Bureau at 951-486-6700, or Investigator Sandoval with the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.
