Beaumont School District eliminates bus drivers to create new district office positions?

I just heard that the Beaumont School District is creating new jobs at the expense of our students.  What I mean is, they have changed the start and end times at my students elementary school because they laid off bus drivers.  Now I have to find some way to provide child care for my children because I have to be at work at 8:30 in Riverside and their school does not start until 9:00.  I was told that there are several new jobs at the school district offices that the school board voted on at the last board meeting, but they did nothing to restore the school times back to the old times.  If they can create new jobs at the district office, why can't they rehire the bus drivers they laid off so that my children's school times do not have to change?
