Let's set the Record Straight

Lets set the Record Straight.

Recently after posting comments and or blogs on this forum regarding the upcoming local elections I have been attacked by Victor Dominguez in regards to a voice message that I left Mrs. Gall on her phone. Yes I did leave the message. She has been attacking me for my personnel beliefs regarding Homosexual Marriage and my support of Proposition 8 in the last election. Now we are all entitled to our opinions as we have Freedom of Speech in this country regardless of our viewpoint. Nancy Gall has publicly and in print accused me of calling homosexual people names at an election night rally in 2008 and has accused me of pushing women into the street. Now Nancy knows that this was investigated by the District Attorney after the complainant filed a citizen’s arrest. The complaint was found to have no merit and no charges were filed. However she, her friends and Victor Dominguez continue to use this false information to try and drum up support for her. Let me state that I called Nancy to ask here to stop this type of false reports. She wasn’t home so I left her a message which stated my position which is based upon what is in the Bible. Just because I don’t support homosexual marriage, it doesn’t mean I hate homosexual people. Also Victor Dominguez in his opening remarks stated that I hate minorities. Nothing could be further from the truth and he knows it.  I have been to Africa two times, working on volunteer projects with my friends over there at my own expense. In addition I spent a week working in the 9th ward helping build Habitat for Humanity Homes and assisting the Pastor of Franklin Ave Baptist Church who is now the 1st African American President of the Southern Baptist Convention rebuilds his congregation. I currently work with people that are from Korea, Africa, Philippines’ and Haiti.  I worked to help a wrong that was done to a Spanish Speaking Church in Beaumont. I don’t think you can call me a racist.

So am I angry, well yes I am.  I am sick and tired of the lies being cast about me, by some individuals for their own gain. So for the record let me state the truth.

  1. I don’t work for anyone that has contributed or manages Beaumont Families for Good Government.
  2. I don’t work for any of the developers who have built homes and or commercial building in Beaumont nor have I ever worked for them in the past.
  3. I don’t work for nor have I ever worked for any of the current or past city contractors.
  4. I have lost a lot of opportunities while serving on the Beaumont City Council to earn money by not being able to  buy property when we had the Redevelopment Agency
  5. I have paid for everything I have myself including my education, my kids college education without any scholarships or government grants other than my GI Bill to go to college which I earned by serving in the Air Force.
  6. I have accepted campaign contributions when I ran for re-election as everyone else has. Some money was left over. I gave some to other folks campaigns and the rest to charity.
