SCWXA Heat Advisories In Effect Through Tuesday

A ridge of high pressure is building over the area, which is going to cause an increase in surface temperatures as dry sinking air settles in. Temperatures over 90+F will be likely across a large area of the Inland Metro.
This extends through the Inland Empire. The only areas of relief will be the cooler ocean … which will easily be 15 degrees cooler than inland.
After Tuesday, the ridge breaks down some and temperatures will start to go down, below advisory level … as such the advisory would then expire.

Heat Advisory (HA) – A Heat Advisory is issued when temperatures are in the 90′s during the cold season, and 95 during the hot season inland and over 100-105+ in the Desert. Temperatures like this can be hard on the sensitive. Never leave living things in cars with the windows up when it is this hot out. Drink plenty of water and eat saltine crackers if outside to replenish the body.
